"Autism Accent"
I spent most my life in Nebraska, and it weirded me out when people would tell me "you have an accent" or "i like your accent" or "what's your accent??" Which, I always felt like...I grew up in the same place as these people...in Nebraska...so...we should have the same accent...right????? But everywhere else I've lived, has never really influenced the way I talk. And I feel like I've always sounded the same. But where I currently live, people have commented that "the Nebraskan accent is unique" or something along those lines 😅😅
What's been your experience(s) with others commenting on your "accent", if any??
