Pacifiers?

For the mamas with LO that used/ uses a pacifier, how did you get your baby to get the hang of it? I’ve tried 4 different types of “nipples” but my LO just looks disgusted by the trickery and side eyes me every time. I want her to use one when I’m on car rides as I have a 10 year old that would love to help soothe without me having to stop and whip it out then burp every time she gets fussy. Any specific brands you’d recommend?

Update: My EBF LO is officially open to the idea of a pacifier. One small step for mom, one giant leap for baby.
