Things will never be good enough to ya'll
If you are seeing this twice it is because it's on both Cancelled podcasts subreddits.
First for context I'm not white and not straight
I do agree the tweets were horrific and disturbing:
But no matter what Brooke does ya'll find something to pick at and it's never good enough. Brooke donated 10k to Trayvon Martin and I see posts where people said she should have donated more. If she has donated 5 million that still wouldn't have been good enough for you. Also to those saying she paid more for her boobs is not true. She got her boobs for free.
I saw a post where someone said Brooke doesn't have black female friends. Why don't her black male friends count as black friends? That's racist and sexist that it has to be a certain type of gendered black person. Who don't black male friends count as people and it has to be black female friends? I have black male friends but I don't have black female friends solely because I literally don't know any. And I live in LA where Brooke lives. Sorry but I'm not racist because my black friends are males and not females. I see all black people and all people in general as equal so it doesn't matter to me what kind of black person they are. I don't expect my black friends to be a certain gender, a certain sexuality or a certain anything. It's racist and sexist to think that all black people have to be a certain way or a certain gender.
I see people say she needs to do something to show she changed. She's gone on BLM marches, donated huge amounts of money to Trayvon Martin, cut off racist friends and family members, and has taken accountability and apologized for her tweets from 10+ years ago.
What more can she do for the black community to show change? You tell her to show she has changed. So what does that look like? What types of showing she changed can she do since now marches, donations, apologies, cutting racist people out of her life and accountability mean nothing.
TLDR:
Brooke: *donates 10k to Trayvon*
Ya'll: "why isnt it more?"
Brooke: *has black male friends*
Ya'll: "Why aren't they female black friends"
Ya'll: "She needs to show change, take action, do the work"
Brooke: *Gone to BLM marches, donated huge amount of money to Trayvon Martin, cut off racist friends and family members, taken accountability and apologized for her tweets from 10+ years ago*
Ya'll "No not that"
