tongue still bleeding everytime I drink even though I cured my glotrot?

Hey, fairly new player here. So I got glotrot. I used an ubernostrom to regrow it and then on the next turn drank the flaming ick. I got the message that indicates it was cured and no longer have it as a status effect. However, I still bleed every time I drink but there is still no status effect of having glotrot on my character and seemingly no other symptoms. What do I do about that? After reading the wiki it seems like this shouldn't be happening.
