Aiden builds bruiser?

I recently picked this game up and I've been enjoying Aiden's kit but I haven't been performing very well with him. Since his passive scales with crit chance, I thought you build crit items with him but when I checked on dak.gg I see the top builds are bruiser with False Oath and Bitter Retribution. Am I missing something here?
