2FA did nothing to prevent hack, is this normal?

After getting hacked about an month back i upgraded my security for facebook or atleast I thought I did. I enabled every possible security measure (2FA) security questions, phonenumbers... Then today I wake up and I'm still locked out of my account anyway.

Hacker added his email, deleted mine, changed password. AND ALL OF THIS DESPITE ALL SECURITY MEASURES?? It's mind boggling, I didn't get any text, any email, any warning anywhere of this happening. What is the point of extra security measures if it does absolutely nothing. Anyone else have this problem? Is it normal that fb is the most easy to hack platform?

Think I'll permanently delete fb once i get acces, not like I want to but clearly facebook is impossible to secure from hacking, all the extra measures clearly do nothing.
