Who is even still going to Masa?

I have lots of friends who are into fine dining. Among us we’ve probably covered most of the NYC stars (minus the ones added this year) with the key exception of Masa because none of us are sushi “experts” to the extent that paying that much for omakase would even come close to worth it.

Searching this sub, Masa has only even been mentioned a handful of times, and never in a particularly positive light.

Yet it retains 3 stars and clearly can keep the prices up. What gives? Who is keeping them in business? lol
