Everyone says we will sleep eventually, but when?

My newborn is 8 weeks old and was giving us 5-6 hour sleep stretches between weeks 5-7. It was amazing! He would fall asleep around 10:30-11:00pm and wake up at 3:30-4:00am for a feeding and fall back asleep for a couple hours then be up for the day. It was a nice routine.

Once week 7 hit, he won’t sleep for more than 2-2.5 hours at night, sometimes even less. We keep a bedtime routine simple- PJs, diaper change, dim lights, feed, sometimes play, then sleep. Many times he’s falling asleep right after his feed. I don’t know what’s changed, but it’s not getting better :(

He naps great during the day- usually contact naps or shorter naps in his swing. Is it possible that he’s napping too much during the day?

Just looking for some suggestions, or anyone else currently in the trenches too?!
