Future academy

I’ve just upgraded my FUT academy player to an 84 and I can see I can upgrade it further using just regular evolutions not the FUT academy specific. Should I do this? Or will this prevent me from doing more academy specific evolutions in the future. Todays evo had a max of 80rated (which they obvs start at). So I’m worried if I upgrade anything over 84 that it will not let me do the next one as I’m assuming it’ll be max 84. Hope that makes sense? Can anyone help me out! Thanks :)
