Why are North-East Indians not represented in Bollywood as main characters and normalized as Indians?

In Hollywood they have this concept of representation where Black, Hispanic and even Asian and Indian actors are put in movies. The word token black or token hispanic is very common in white society, but our country has always been multi-cultural, we don't even have North-East Indians being normalized as being Indians and this is very alienating.

I'm South Indian myself, I find it very hard to believe that people use derogatory name against North-East Indians and I find them to be hard working and respectful wherever they go. I find their women work in Airlines(probably because of the lighter skin tone) and their men work hard in our cities, it feels as though they are not welcome here as our Indian brothers and sisters.
