Too many iPhone owners nowadays?

What's up with the sudden increase in the number of iPhone holders in India? Every where I go, almost 2 in 5 people will be having an iPhone 12 or 13. Even in my friend circle, 6 months back only one girl had an iPhone 7. Now she has upgraded to an iPhone 13 and two of my other friends bought iPhone 12. Wherever I go, in train, bus, even share auto there will be a person having an iPhone. I believe I'm not exaggerating because I live in a tier - 2 city in Maharashtra.
