Can’t identify these boots but they say made in Japan. Any help?

Found these boots at a thrift store yesterday. In great condition. Insole says SETT for Barney’s of New York. I see that Barney’s is only open in Japan now. US locations closed down in 2020. Then inside is a signature and inscription saying this is part of a limited series of what I think says 27 pairs. I can’t find anything on the brand “SETT” if that is what it is and nothing at all on that signature. Not sure if sett is the brand or the initials of something or what. I posted it on the transcriptions page to see if anyone could make anything of it. Didn’t notice the signature until I bought them and now just curious what I found. Any help would be greatly appreciated
