Moving back to US, Looking for any suggestions beyond part B
So, I've lived overseas for the past 15 years, with a one year exception during covid when I got "stuck" in the US. During that time, I did enroll in part B and part D, but have canceled both in 2021 after I got out of the US.
Now I'm returning. I'll be 70 in a week or two. I will, of course, reenroll in Part B.
My question is, what additional coverage should I get, specifically, I hear very often that Part G is the best way to go vs, Part D and then covering the rest out of pocket.
Is that the concensus? And, if so, can anyone recommed either a specific Part G provider they think is good, or even a suggested methodology to compare and avoid all the sales hype.
I do understand that there are penalties to be expected, since I did have and cancel B and D. So, that isn't helpful information. What I am looking for are solutions for me as I move back to California.
Any guidance appreciated.
