What are the best final bosses you’ve fought?
Based on another post I saw asking what everyone's least favorite final bosses were.
These are my best final bosses:
The Hollow Knight (Hollow Knight): This boss isn't very difficult after you've fought it a few times, but the music, atmosphere, and lore implications are amazing. Also a nice segue into the secret final boss of Hollow Knight, which I won't spoil.
Gehrman, The First Hunter (Bloodborne): This boss is one of the hardest bosses in the base game of Bloodborne, and exists as a sort of skill check. This fight will get your heart beating fast and leave your mouth dry, and your hands shaking. Besides that, the music, arena, and lore implications are also amazing, and the fight is a beautiful way to end one of the best games of all time.
Isshin, the Sword Saint (Sekiro): What else can I say? This boss is extremely difficult, but still feels fair. His moveset is incredibly varied and deflecting, jumping, and Mikiri countering his various attacks feel so rewarding, and finally beating Isshin really gives you that iconic Soulsborne high. Additionally, the music and arena are very good and make this a memorable fight.
