Is Black 2 and White 2 worth playing?

So I got into Pokemon really late when I started in 2016 with X. Since then I have played Sun/US, Shield, Soul Silver, Platinum, Brilliant Diamond, Alpha sapphire, and White.

White did not stick with me that well, and the random level hike before the elite 4 was really annoying and reminded me of a lot of the reason I didn't like soul silver. But I keep hearing endlessly good things about how black 2 and white 2 are the best Pokemon games ever, but are very much slept on?

Should I give it a go? That sprite work on the pokemon was sick and I'd be playing it on an original DSiXL and I'll be able to transfer all my mons up through my 3ds to home (probably the way it was meant to be played). Thoughts on why it is better or not? Thanks!
