Razr 50+ main screen off/ on issue

Razr 50 Ultra bought in August 2024

Had similar issue before but it went away on its own after a few weeks. Suspected it was an OS issue but now it came back and is worse?

Issue: while using the main screen, the main screen goes off and external screen lights up (phone thinks either the phone is flipped closed or something else but clearly is not)

Resolution 1: with the main screen still open, i turn the phone down and up and this wakes the main screen again. However, it is not very effective as it enters the same vicious cycle again

Resolution 2: after some trial and error, i realise that this issue doesn’t happen when i am using the phone ON A SURFACE, e.g. table. So when i leave the phone on the table and use the main screen, i am less likely to encounter the issue

To me, it sounds like some sensor somewhere is wonky but having the phone against a solid surface is supposedly sending the right signals to keep the main screen unlocked

Anyone has any clue how to get past this or have has the same experience? Please help!

Other than this persistent issue, razr 50 Ultra is a great phone 🫤
