Who's More Optimistic About The Team Than They Were at the Start of the Season?
To get it out of the way - yes, we have roster issues with some of veterans. That's obviously something that needs to be addressed in the offseason.
However, the younger players are (mostly) well ahead of where I thought they'd be now.
Camara has proven he's an impact defender and he's efficient on offense.
Scoot looks like at least a good starting PG and showing upside as a future All-Star.
Shaedon could be shooting 3's better and be more aggressive, but it's clear to my eyes that he's close to breaking out as a star.
After a slow start, Deni is arguably the best player on the team in terms of all-around ability. Really looks like a foundation piece for the team.
Clingan is tougher to evaluate do to injuries and being a rookie, but I've been impressed by his defensive ability and he's good at getting to the FT line.
At this point I think it's realistic that the team can get to .500 next year. Probably not contending unless someone (Shaedon most likely) breaks out as a superstar, but the team looks like it has one of the best under-25 rosters in the league.
