Was the naming convention of “-man” as a suffix inspired by Marvel superheroes given Toei’s collaboration with Marvel back in the day?

Given that Denziman was the first series to be named as such, and it was one of the few series co-produced by Marvel, it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case. Though why they stopped doing it is something I can’t figure out.
