Does this scheduling policy seem reasonable?

Hi all! I’m considering making some changes in my practice. As of now, clients can self-schedule or schedule through me. After 90 days, if I haven’t seen a client, I’ll send them an email informing them as such and giving them a week to schedule if they are wanting to or needing to resume services. If after a week I hear nothing back, I discharge (which I informed them of in the email I send out).

I’m thinking 90 days is a long time for a client to technically be under my “care” but not being actively seen. I worry about liability or any risk. So now, I’m thinking of requiring at least one session scheduled a month, for consistency in my own income, reducing any chance of liability, and optimal support for clients. If after 30 days I don’t see someone on my schedule, I’d send out an email reminding them of my policy and giving them a two week period to schedule. If nothing after that, then I would discharge.

Does anyone do anything similar? Anything I should consider?

Thanks!
