Death Traits

Are death traits possible to retain if you revive a ghost sim? for example if they have the " Death by Fire" trait can they "summon flames - set things on fire. Has fire burning inside of them to show death type" after they're alive again? I haven't tried and I don't know if I should kill my sim over it but would be a pretty cool way to attain a power, getting it by a death experience.
