What do y’all think about gender swapping of old characters?

I don’t really care, transformers changes with every series and quite frankly it’s an easy way to get more female characters without having to create new characters (especially in a franchise that is dominated with male characters). Some would call that lazy but this is a brand to sale toys and it’s a lot easier to sale new versions of existing characters than trying to sale new characters. Also hasbro seems to have placed restrictions as the cyberverse team couldn’t swap lugnut.

Anyway Gender swapping has happened before. Red alert was supposed to be female in animated before she got cut from the main cast.
