Thoughts on paying for convenience?

What are your thoughts on paying for convenience while traveling? I’m not talking about things like nicer plane tickets or hotels, but things like paying extra to skip lines, paying extra for front row chairs at the beach, paying to get a great table in a restaurant, etc.

I am personally all for paying for convenience. However, I just saw a Facebook post of someone saying they got a lot of nasty comments from people when that person paid to skip a customs line at an airport. I also personally pay extra to reserve front row cabanas at the beach, but I’ve heard differing views on whether or not you should be able to pay to access the front row or if it should be first come first serve.

What is your view on this?
