Cutting mix and going only fin after 3 years

I've decided to cut the minox out now after 3/4 years of consistent use of 5% and then later 10%. My logic is that I've maxed out growth a long time ago and I only want to try and sustain what I have. I've been off it now for two months and not noticed much loss, if any.

Is this logic sound? Or do people take minox to sustain? I dislike the cost of it and honestly I'm not sure I want to take what is essentially heart medication anymore.
