Terrified of needles…what do I do?

Hello everyone, new here as of today since I’m getting all 4 wisdom teeth out on June 28th. I already told the doctor at the consult that I literally cried when I got a filling the first time at 17 years old because they were going to give me a shot in the gums and they had to put me on nitrous.

My issue is I am terrified of needles. I got over that a little bit during COVID but had to make sure I never saw it and was talking during the process it was distracted. Never given/drawn blood.

It just dawned on me that I am going to get an IV for the sedation. I remember she mentioned it going in the back of my hand I think. I have really deep veins and I am about to throw up just thinking about it.

Any advice? Tips? It’s not the fear of sedation, but genuinely just of the needle piercing my skin. I passed out after my tuberculosis skin test if that gives any context…
