Just played 1-6, struggling to adjust to Like a Dragon
Hello! I finally sat down over Thanksgiving break and played through Kiwami after starting & restarting a few times and found myself hooked. Ive played through all 6 games since then, fallen in love with the franchise, it’s storytelling and characters and have really loved being a part of this subreddit as the memes started to finally make sense to me.
I finished Yakuza 6 this past week and immediately installed Like a Dragon. I’ve avoided spoilers as much as possible throughout the entire series, but I knew that Ichiban is the main character of this new game, it’s in English and it changed to a turn based system.
I haven’t gotten to play anything past the opening sequence since this past weekend was Valentine’s Day, but it has me feeling a little nervous. I’m not much of a turn-based RPG person aside from Pokemon and it’s more something I put up with than enjoy, usually. The fast paced action was one of my favorite things about the games thus far. I know I’ll get my fill of that when I inevitably play 0, Pirate Yakuza and Gaiden but still.
How did you find yourself liking Like A Dragon upon your first play through? How was the adjustment to the different characters and gameplay?
