If you have to restart the game because of frame drops and stutters, disable frame gen. It will solve the problem for the most part. You will occasionally still get the frame drops and stutters, but frame gen for some reason overloads VRAM and causes it 10x more often. Try it! It blew my mind when I found out it was the cause of my stutters and FPS drops.

Is it still happening? I saw that in the patch notes it was fixed because of a memory leak that got worse the more you shot/reloaded until you restarted the game..and I haven’t had issues since the latest patch

It is still happening, based on my testing its because of 8GB VRAM GPUS. My 4060 ti 8GB is able to handle the game on epic with extended render distance engine tweaks just fine, but when I turn on frame gen it doubles my FPS but after 20 minutes to an hour, OR if I get into a high NPC density area, it will trigger the VRAM overload and FPS drops to sub 15 and extreme stuttering. I think high settings with frame gen is just not possible with 8GB of VRAM
